quote Such a cute Authentic Hong Kong cafe in Unley. First time trying out their tomato soup twisted macaroni with luncheon and egg, it was so good like perfect for a winter breakfast and I didn't know it was popular in HK. My all time favourite dish is their hainese Chicken rice, it tasted bold and flavoursome! Not bland at all everything with rice and chicken has got the flavour. I would definitely come back here for lunch again and try out their evening menu. The staff here is so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is much like HK vibes and very well hidden on the main Street of unley Rd.

quote I came to this Hong Kong-style restaurant for dinner on Friday evening. This is not a typical Hong Kong-style Cafe i.e. Cha Chaan Teng (Chinese: 茶餐廳) that we can easily find in Hong Kong. Having said that, some of their food are really available from some Cha Chaan Teng in Hong Kong, such as their daily meal (Chinese: 常餐), Hong Kong Rice Bowl (Chinese: 碟頭飯), Hong Kong-style noodles (Chinese: 港式粉麵), Hong Kong-style Sandwiches (Chinese: 港式三文治), Toasties and Hong Kong Street Food / Snacks (Chinese: 港式街頭小食). Interestingly, this restaurant also offers so called "western food" (Chinese: 港式西餐), such as pasta (Chinese: 西式意粉) and sizzling (Chinese: 鐵板餐). In fact, they also provide Vietnamese cuisines like Beef Pho, Banh Mi, Bun Bowl and Com Tam (rice bowl). So they captured different good food among different Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng and Vietnamese restaurants and brought them into one restaurant in Adelaide. This is really amazing. I haven't seen a similar Hong Kong-style restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne, but I am really happy to see this restaurant is available in Adelaide. To be honest, I haven't been able to find any traditional and authentic Hong Kong-style Cafe in Adelaide yet, except maybe there are one or two quite ok in Chinatown but I would not say they are by any means close to those modern Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng. Back to the food that I ordered and tried. They were all very delicious and the meal was really enjoyable. Perhaps next time I will come here for lunch as I can try those lunch choices to see how good they are. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Hong Kong-style to visit this unique restaurant in Adelaide.

quote A classic Hong Kong style restaurant. Always love going to this restaurant when I miss my hometown. They change their special menu regularly that I can always discover new choices. My partner and I usually ordered the regular menu. She always likes their BBQ and egg rice and the chicken and egg rice with the scallion oil. But today I ordered the satay beef noodles and egg with scallion oil tonight which is in their new special menu. The overall dish was a bit salty for me as it was made as a dry mix noodle instead of a soup one. The scallion oil may also make it a bit oily with this combination. My partner ordered the pork chop and egg rice with scallion oil. Hers is good. Pork chop was nicely marinated. Unfortunately they sold out the pineapple bun today which we ordered every time when we came. Fully recommend their pineapple bun which has soft bun texture with a piece of cold butter at the middle. And their lemon tea is good as well. The tea base is really like what I’ve had in Hong Kong. My partner loves their coke spider as they always give full cup of ice cream. They only have noodles soup during lunch period which I think is a bit sad. I like that they always serve the dishes in hot. Recommend to try their Hong Kong style snack as well. Feel like home in every visit. Reasonable price. Parking only on main road or side street.

quote A charming and authentic café/restaurant servicing good selections of some of Hong Kong local favourite’s dishes and tastes. Staff are friendly. It sure brings back Hong Kong memories while dining there. It’s decorated with Hong Kong posters, pictures, signage’s (shout out to MTR fans) and you can hear popular Hong Kong tunes being played. And the food, drinks and desserts are wonderful (A number of tissues are quite yummy). Hong Kongers in Adelaide have been longing for such cool Hong Kong Café restaurant and we are now grateful to have it in Brolly Toasties !!! And this café/restaurant is really a treat, basically for all nationalities who are hungry and simply looking for delicious food in Adelaide, South Australia.
